Which leads me to tonight's question:
Would you want to be mentioned in a suicide note?
Part of me says yes, so long as it's all good stuff. Because then everyone comforts you and you're like the bomb because you were mentioned in a suicide note. For awhile you're almost like a suicide celebrity and when everyone gets together to talk memories -- you're the guy in the suicide note who was always a good friend. And if you play your cards right, it could get you laid.
But if you're mentioned and it's all bad stuff, then you're screwed. Because now everyone hates your guts and blames you for their death even though you were nowhere near them when it occured. And when people curse your way, all you do is shrug your shoulders and say something like, "I thought it was weird that the kid picked his nose and ate bugs. And I told them. So sue me."
But what if you were really tight with the (suicider?) and they don't mention you in the note. And you go to the funeral and talk memories, but you have no hand because you're not in the note. And when you tell everyone how close the two of you were, they're kind of skeptical because you're not in the note. So now you're saying stupid things in order to save face like, "yeah, but I bet if they wrote a second note, I'd be in that one." And people look at you weird.
And now you're that guy. You get no props.

Far better to have none of your mates kark it on you i reckon, I have very little sympathy for suicides. harsh, yes.
But if they had any friends they thought well enough of to say good things about in a suicide note... well - thats just plain selfish - get on with it, pick yourself up and SHOW them through living what they mean to you - and if someone upsets you so much you want to heap them with guilt... well - why not stay with us and do it in person so you can enjoy their suffering - If someone upset me that much - i'd want to WATCH them pay...

Not sure I have ever thought about it. but it is an interesting theory. If you are mentioned in the suicide note does one feel obligated to go up and speak about Sucidial Person?

Garybibb once got a lot of flack for a similar post, leading me to start my mrgrim blog.
I'd have to say I would want to make a game out of it. A map, not a note, that would lead whoever through a crappy hood, through some hills, into some garbage cans and then to a locker at a bus station. The note would say only:
"Made you look. Loser!"

Depends on the suicidee. Since there's a large list of people who I'd like to take out myself, if they happened to leave a note mentioning me, I'd be happy for the mention - either way. Unless that meant that it would reduce my blogosphere ranking....can't have that.

yeah, but the difference between Bibb and myself is that he actually gives a shit about readers opinions about his words. Which is a good thing.
A suicide map is awesome and creative.
